The online admission process for Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, for the session 2025-27 for the B.Ed. program is merit-based and does not require an entrance examination. The following is a detailed guide to assist you with the process.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the B.Ed. course in MDU should satisfy the following criteria:

• General Category: Minimum 50% marks in either post-graduation or graduation.

• SC/ST/OBC Domicile Candidates (Haryana): Minimum 47.5% marks in graduation or post-graduation.

• Science & Maths Group: B.Sc. Graduation, B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Home Science), B.Sc. (Agriculture), or any other equivalent with at least one school subject at graduation level.

• Humanities & Commerce Group: B.A. Graduation, B.A. (Hons.), B.Com., or any other equivalent with at least one school subject at the graduation level.

• Last Date for Online Choice Filling and Locking: August 10, 2025

• Online Counseling: August 23, 2025

• Publication of First Merit List: August 13, 2025

• Last Merit List: August 20, 2025

Required Documents

Make sure you have the following documents in hand for the application and verification process:

• Class 10th and 12th Mark Sheets and Certificates

• Graduation and Post-Graduation Mark Sheets and Degrees

• Migration Certificate (if applicable)

• Aadhaar Card

• Caste Certificate (if applicable)

• Passport-sized Photographs (usually 8)

Fee Structure

The fee structure changes depending on the type of college:

• Government/Government-Aided Colleges: Around ₹24,000 for the whole 2-year program.

• Self-Financing Colleges: Around ₹88,000 for the whole 2-year program.

Admission Process

  1. Online Registration: Go to the official MDU admission website and complete the application form with proper personal and academic information.

2. Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of all the documents.

3. Application Fee Payment:

(a) General Category: ₹1,000

(b) Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): ₹625

4. Publication of Merit List: Following the application procedure, MDU will publish a merit list depending upon the marks scored in the qualifying test.

5. Counseling Procedure: Candidates shortlisted will be called for counseling, during which they can select their desired college or institute to study the B.Ed program.

6. Seat Allotment and Fee Payment: Seats will be allotted based on counseling, and candidates must pay the admission fees as prescribed to secure their admission.
